GM Multiple Diagnostic Interface 2

The GM® MDI 2 is the next generation service tool for technicians. The MDI 2 manages the transfer of data between a vehicle’s onboard ECU network and a service technician’s host PC. The GM® MDI 2 supports both diagnostic applications (GDS 2, Data Bus Diagnostic Tool, Tech2Win) and ECU Pass-Thru programming applications (TIS2Web-SPS).

The GM® MDI 2 connects to the vehicle using a DLC cable. Connection between the MDI 2 and the technician PC can be accomplished directly via a high speed USB connection or a new Point-to-Point wireless WiFi interface, or via the dealership network using an Ethernet or wireless WiFi connection.
